Our Story
The Glocal Institute of Online Theological Studies (GIOTS) was established with the purpose of making theological education accessible to a wider community of believers.
GIOTS was founded in the year 2020 by Abhishek Sarkar, Prakash G, and Eldho K Mohan, with a shared vision to provide structured and meaningful theological training in a flexible format. The institution is registered under He Aletheia Educational Trust, which supports its educational and ministry-oriented initiatives.
The institute seeks to address the gap between the desire for theological learning and the lack of accessible opportunities. It aims to provide training that is not only academic but also practical and relevant to real-life ministry contexts. The focus is on helping learners grow in their understanding of Scripture, develop sound theological foundations, and apply biblical principles in their personal lives and ministry.
GIOTS functions as a fully online institution, making it possible for students from diverse regions and backgrounds to access theological education without relocating or interrupting their current responsibilities. The programs are designed to be structured, ministry-oriented, and accessible in multiple languages, ensuring that learning is both meaningful and contextually relevant.

The mission of GIOTS is to provide accessible, structured, and ministry-oriented theological education through online platforms. The focus is on integrating biblical knowledge, theological understanding, and practical ministry training in a way that is relevant to contemporary contexts.
This mission is carried out through the following commitments: • To make theological education accessible to those who are unable to pursue traditional residential training • To provide systematic teaching of the Bible and Christian doctrine • To equip students for various forms of ministry, including pastoral, teaching, and outreach ministries • To encourage spiritual growth, discipline, and Christ-like character • To offer learning in multiple languages to serve diverse communities • To promote contextual understanding of theology in relation to culture and society

GIOTS was born out of this burden, to make sound biblical education available, approachable, and meaningful for those who desire to grow and serve.
Our desire is not simply to teach, but to walk alongside each learner in their journey. We long to see lives shaped by Scripture, hearts anchored in truth, and ministries guided with wisdom and discernment. Every course is designed with this in mind, to help you understand the Word deeply and live it out faithfully in your context.
